Here's an interesting story of our farmer from Dolhari, Thakur Pada in Vikramgarh, Palghar.
Farmer Ravindra Vajya Thakare has been practicing a frugal yet innovative way of watering his plants.
A few months ago, some of his Mogra plants died due to a lack of water. So to save the rest of the saplings, the farmer Ravindra planned to irrigate each sapling drop by drop with the help of waste saline bottles since he was not able to afford a proper drip irrigation system. It is observed that if there is any idea regarding water, the farmer is willing to execute it.
Despite the water scarcity and other challenges, our farmer is practicing farming using waste bottles & medical saline bottles after sanitizing them carefully.
Such farmers are an inspiration for others who wish to thrive in their plantation journey as farmers.
