GVT Krishikul - Farmer Training Centre

In Vedic times, education was imparted through Panchakul - Gurukul, Gokul, Vrikshkul, Rishikul and Krishikul.

Objectives

  • To spread the knowledge of agriculture sector to the farmers of Maharashtra as well as the country.
  • To create awareness among farmers about modern technology.
  • To develop an entrepreneurial mindset among farmers in agriculture.
  • To establish a model of sustainable farming systems for farmers across the country.

What does GVT Krishikul offer?

  • 21 demo farm plots with 4-5 varities of each crop.
  • Various demonstration spaces: sericulture shed, gaushala, biogas unit, compost shed, centralised irrigation system, weather station and soil sensors etc.
  • Laboratories showing technical information about soil, pests, diseases, friendly insects as well as bacteria and fungi.
  • Ability to organize workshops, training programs, seminars and farmer gatherings.
  • Training related to water, soil and agriculture.
  • Residential training arrangement for 200 farmers.
